Embark on a magical journey this holiday season as Hotel Indigo Edinburgh, York Place unveils its immersive festive-themed room – all while spreading love and joy to children in need with a donation from each room going to Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity.
Available for a limited time during the festive season, the North Pole hotel room is a wonderland of seasonal joy, decorated with lush wreaths and garlands, twinkling lights and sparkling trinkets. The cosy beds have blankets and pillows for snuggling and the delightful scent of apple and cinnamon fills the room. There are stockings with treats and gifts for the children beneath the tree, and a Christmas picnic filled with jolly delights is perfect for a carpet picnic. Younger children can have a magical sleepover experience in special teepees in the room, reading Christmas tales and watching Christmas movies.
In addition to the enchanting experience within the hotel, guests are encouraged to explore the charming city of Edinburgh during the festive season. Must-visit attractions include Edinburgh Christmas Market, where independent stalls offer up quirky and seasonal gifts, whilst Edinburgh Castle is a magical backdrop with its sparkling twinkling lights and decorations.
To further increase the magic of Christmas, a donation from each room booked will go to Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity. A ‘Sweet Sip’ Challenge will also be available, giving all guests a chance to win a magical festive stay in one of the North Pole rooms in York or Edinburgh, with all proceeds donated to charity.
Pippa Johnston, Deputy CEO of Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity said: “Every year, together with our friends at NHS Lothian, ECHC works hard to make time spent in hospital a little bit brighter. We can’t stop the pain or prevent children from having to spend Christmas in hospital, but we can deliver some festive joy and happiness to them and their families. We rely solely on donations and kindness to be able to do this, so we are enormously grateful to Hotel Indigo Edinburgh for supporting our fundraising with this wonderful Christmas competition.”
Two festive rooms will be available at Hotel Indigo York and Hotel Indigo Edinburgh – York Place from 20 November 2023, and can be booked online via the hotel’s website.
