New Edinburgh board game launches
GOE: Game of Edinburgh is a brand new board game which takes you through central Edinburgh, from Princes Street to the Castle!

The game starts when you arrive on Princes Street and encounter the task Squares. Soon you might land on a Square where you 'Tip the Piper'. On subsequent Squares you might have to complete task requests, such as, 'Tell something about Rabbie Burns or his poetry' or imitate the sound of a bag piper's drone or drink Scottish whiskey and tell a joke. Your friend might land on the Céilidh Square and have to 'dance a jig', any jig. Or tell 'your wish' if you were to rub Greyfriars Bobby's nose. On the Holyrood Palace Square you meet the King eating a Haggis - 'what did he say to you?' My favourite square is the Finish Square where you have the beautiful task to 'Tell the thing that you love most about life', before you can leave the board!
The Game pack includes a Board, a Rules booklet, two Deck of Cards, six playing pieces (ancient bog oak, sea shell, a pre-decimal Scottish 3d coin, a tartan button, limestone, and black granite). This game is a welcome break from traditional board games - there are no winners and no losers. Players do not eliminate other players, nor do players buy other players property and put them out of the game.
The GOE: Game of Edinburgh, requires no special knowledge of Edinburgh, all you need is to be creative, and up for a laugh. The Riddle Cards and Fun Facts Cards are humorous and many have 'True or False' answers. The GOE is great to play with friends or as an original souvenir gift from Edinburgh.
