Fat Hippo launch Birria taco inspired burger in time for festival season

Fat Hippo, the independent UK restaurant group, is launching a limited edition burger to celebrate the upcoming festival season!

The brand new special sees Fat Hippo’s classic double beef patty stacked in a Birria-dipped lid, topped with rich slow cooked pulled spiced beef, melted American cheese, gooey mozzarella, smashed Cajun tots, chipotle mayo, diced onion, fresh coriander and served with Hippo seasoned fries.

Like the viral Birria tacos, the ‘Glaston-Birria Burger’ is accompanied by the famous Birria sauce dip for customers to either dip or drench their loaded patties and fries in.

Dickie Nelson, Executive Chef at Fat Hippo, said: “Birria tacos are trending all over the internet, especially TikTok, and we couldn’t resist using this inspiration for our June special.

“It’s safe to say our ‘Glaston-Birria Burger’ is a special worthy of the Pyramid Stage”.

The 'Glaston-Birria burger' will be available for dine in at Fat Hippo restaurants and concessions across the UK from Wednesday 1st June (subject to availability).

The group work exclusively with Deliveroo and the limited edition menu burger will be available on the delivery platform as well.
