Try Tag Rugby is one of the leading social sports organisations providing high-quality Tag Rugby Leagues and events across the UK in regions including; London, Bristol, Coventry & Warwickshire, Manchester, Sheffield, Thames Valley, West Yorkshire and Wigan.
Tag Rugby is a fun and exciting minimal contact social sport suitable for all adults, no previous rugby experience is necessary and it’s a sport that can be enjoyed by beginners and experienced players alike.
Tag Rugby is a great way to meet new people, as well as a chance to meet up with existing friends. There will be weekly post-match socials, where players come together to enjoy a drink with their teammates and opposition.
The 8-week mixed Early Summer League will kick-off at Inverleith Park, just a short distance from the centre of Edinburgh, on Tuesday 26th April.
Edinburgh North will be run by Clodagh Nic Lochlainn, who previously played in the London and Bristol Try Tag Rugby Leagues.
Clodagh said: “We're delighted to be launching Try Tag Rugby in Edinburgh, the home city of Scottish rugby this April. Tag Rugby provides an opportunity for both men and women to balance fun and fitness in a welcoming environment. The ability to join as an individual, group or a team means that everyone can get involved which I found great when moving to new cities.
“Edinburgh is a city that thrives on a sense of community, culture and sports, and we're looking forward to being a part of it!”
Try Tag Rugby Co-owner and Joint Managing Director, Kyle Nish said: “As a Scot myself, I can’t wait to see Try Tag Rugby arrive in Scotland for the first time, with a League launching in Edinburgh this April.
“Last summer we had nearly 10,000 men and women enjoy playing the game weekly across England. Within that number there is already a decent number of England based Scots like myself, but it’s going to be great to see people living in Scotland now also having the chance to get involved. With the Scots love of sport and socialising, I’m sure they will love it as much as I do!
“Clodagh has previously been a player in both London and Bristol Try Tag Rugby Leagues, so she fully understands what we do and the benefits of getting involved. We are very excited to have her on board.”
