After the success of last year’s event, Morningside restaurant and bar, ‘McLarens on The Corner’, is inviting families to take part in another fun-filled search for colourful pumpkins across the Bruntsfield and Greenhill areas of the city between 12pm and 3pm.
Eight blue pumpkins, each containing an exciting Halloween fact to keep the children amused along the way, are being rolled out to different mystery locations around Morningside.
Setting off at Bruntsfield Links, families are being encouraged to follow a pumpkin trail map on the McLarens on the Corner website and use it to collect as many pumpkins as possible before finishing the trail at the Morningside venue, where tasty Halloween treats await. After completing the half hour trail, families can warm up at McLarens with hot chocolate for the children and a new Johnnie Walker hot toddy for the adults.
Advance booking is not required for the The McLarens Pumpkin Hunt itself, but indoor and outdoor table reservations for food and refreshments is advised to avoid disappointment.
Commenting on the upcoming McLarens Pumpkin Hunt, Hannah McConnachie, Community & Events Coordinator for the Edinburgh-based Signature Group, including McLarens on the Corner, said:
“We’re really excited to be offering families in Edinburgh and the Lothians a fun way to life their spirits outdoors this Halloween. It’s been a tough year, especially for children who have missed out on so much due to the pandemic.
“We have something for all the family at McLarens, including kids menu, dog friendly bar and restaurant, as well as a variety of community and family-friendly events throughout the year.
“McLarens really is a special place to create happy memories with all the family and we’re sure the kids won’t forget our fun Halloween Pumpkin Hunt in a hurry.”
McLarens on the Corner is the most recent opening by Scottish hospitality collection, Signature Group, which also operates Cold Town House in the Grassmarket; The Huxley on Rutland Street; Copper Blossom on Gorge Street; Badger & Co on Castle Street, and a number of other quality food and drink venues across the capital and the rest of Scotland.
Find McLarens Market Corner at 8 Morningside Road, Edinburgh, EH10 4DD.
