Lothians best Easter weekend food & drink 2021
As the Lothians prepares for the Easter weekend, 2nd to 5th April, some of the region’s leading independent and family-run restaurants, cafes and bars have unveiled their special Easter menus, offers and experiences to be enjoyed outside in gardens, by the sea, in the countryside or in public parks and gardens.
Edinburgh’s Contini George Street; McLarens on the Corner in Edinburgh’s Morningside and East Coast Restaurant in Musselburgh, East Lothian have all launched mouth-watering ‘dine at home’ and takeaway menus, experiences, activities or offers to help people make the most of the great outdoors this Easter.

Available for collection from Contini on Edinburgh’s George Street after 1pm or for local delivery in Edinburgh before 3pm on Easter Sunday (6th April) only, Contini’s Easter Sunday menu includes homemade focaccia with I'Ciacca extra virgin olive oil; Burrata with fresh broad beans and roasted hazelnut; roast rump of lamb with salsa verde sprouting broccoli and spring potato; and Bombolini with Amalfi lemon crema Pasticceria.
The vegetarian menu option is pea risotto with fresh mint and Errington's goats curd.

Edinburgh foodie hub rolls out family Easter egg hunt

One of Edinburgh’s most popular foodie destinations has announced plans to stage its first outdoor family Easter egg hunt on Good Friday (Friday 2nd April) from 10am-1pm.
Morningside’s ‘McLarens on the Corner’ has appointed a dedicated Community & Events Coordinator to kick start an ongoing programme of family and community events around Edinburgh from the Easter weekend as lockdown restrictions start to be eased.
McLarens will be offering an Easter-themed set weekly meal club menu, including caramelised onion and rosemary focaccia; Clyde Valley lamb; and an Easter Sundae; as well as a sweet twist on the traditional Scotch Egg and Easter-themed bubble waffles and milkshakes from McLarens’ Scranavan food truck.
McLarens on the Corner has continued to be community hub for Edinburgh foodies throughout lockdown, offering restaurant quality dining and street food for collection and delivery, as well as cocktails and craft ale.

East Lothian seafood restaurant is ‘catch of the day’ for Easter weekend

One of East Lothian’s most popular family seafood restaurants and fish & chip shops is offering a special menu package for Easter weekend, which is perfect for eating in your garden, at home, out with friends or even a picnic by the sea.
