Jack Arts Scotland is a creative out of home agency specialising in the art and culture space, working with a variety of arts and culture clients, and dedicated to providing a platform on the street for artists, through partnerships and their ongoing Your Space Or Mine project.

ALT-D is a digital platform created for, and by, Edinburgh College of Art graduate students. With their long-awaited Degree Show cancelled this year, the collective turned their attention to finding alternate ways of showcasing the emerging talent and final project works from 2020 graduates including a website with over 100 students across 23 artistic disciplines.

Whilst ALT-D was founded in the absence of a physical degree show, they aim to exist as a collective for ECA alumni in the long-term future. They have established the group as a grassroots non-profit for emerging artists.

This billboard campaign in partnership with Jack Arts, displays the work of 83 graduates in collage form, from a variety of specialisms and leads on from their collaborative poster show at Zembla Gallery, Hawick (5-30th September, 2020).

By presenting the graduate work in a street level gallery display, we aim to increase the accessibility of graduate work and present it to a larger audience.

Jack Arts Scotland has also commissioned Edinburgh College of Art BA Photography student Josephine Berry, to capture the campaign photography for this release, Josephine will be added to their photographers roster on a freelance basis for future campaigns.

The Alt-D display is showcased on Jack Arts Scotland’s’ Meadowbank site, London Road and around the city on framed poster sites and drums until 6 October (earliest).
