The UK’s leading garden centre retailer, Dobbies Garden Centres, today (11 September) welcomes award-winning butchers, Walter Smith Fine Foods, to the flagship Edinburgh store.
The butchers will feature in Dobbies’ foodhall, offering customers a variety of locally-sourced meat, including family favourites such as sausages and burgers. There will also be a wide selection of high-quality cuts of beef, lamb and pork available.
The butchery and delicatessen will offer customers a range of classics, including handmade sausage rolls, awardwinning pork pies, and popular kitchen-ready recipes like cottage pie and lasagne, which can be put straight into
the oven. There will also be a variety of vegetarian options available, including vegetable samosas and onion bhajis, perfect for a quick lunch or to serve when entertaining.
The news comes as Dobbies announced a recent partnership with Sainsbury’s, bolstering its convenience food offering for customers in Edinburgh.
Graeme Jenkins, CEO of Dobbies, said: “Walter Smith Fine Foods is a brilliant addition to our Edinburgh store and we’re sure that the butchers will be popular with our customers. At Dobbies, we pride ourselves on offering
customers a wide range of quality produce, freshly-baked goods and general grocery items all under one roof.”
Robert Jones, Retail Director at Walter Smith Fine Foods, said: “We’re delighted to be launching our butchery and deli counter at Dobbies’ Edinburgh store, and look forward to customers trying our award-winning products.
We’ve been in business for 135 years and we are proud to deliver quality service and, of course, the best quality meats and produce.”
There will be a 10% discount for Dobbies Club members from Friday 11 to Saturday 26 September at the Edinburgh store.
Walter Smith Fine Foods can also be found in Dobbies stores located in Livingston, Cirencester, Huntingdon, Stapleton, Stratford upon Avon and Aylesbury.
