Butterfly and Insect World welcomes back customers

Following updated guidance from Scottish Government that visitor attractions may reopen, Edinburgh Butterfly and Insect World is now welcoming back visitors.

Butterfly World offers an opportunity for children and their families to take a walk on the wild side with a whole host of creepy crawlies, reptiles and animals. There is the chance to explore exotic worlds, with butterflies, reptiles, bugs and beasties, plus a gift shop and outdoor play area, ideal for this year’s staycation.

The safety of team members and customers remains the number one priority, and a number of social distancing measures have been put in place. Tickets should be pre-booked online with a limited number of visitors permitted in the attraction at one time – groups will have 2 hours for their pre-booked visit. Animal handling sessions are on hold and there will be no birthday parties until further notice.

There will be a one-way system in place, team members will be wearing masks and visitors are requested to wear masks in the gift shop. All the measures in place have secured VisitScotland’s Good to Go accreditation.
