With lock-down continuing to change the way we go about our normal lives; this Sunday’s Father’s Day is set to become trickier than usual to buy your dad a pint, but for some lucky dads, they will still be able to enjoy a quality, fresh, crisp pint of Tennent’s Lager.
Scotland’s favourite pint is giving one lucky dad their very own back-garden pub experience, complete with draught bar, bar staff, Tennent’s Lager, furniture and more. Ten runners-up will have a fresh pint delivered to their dad from one of the first kegs to be brewed at Wellpark as we prepare for Scotland’s hospitality sector to reopen in the coming weeks.
After nearly three months of pubs being closed, Tennent’s historic Wellpark Brewery has started producing kegs again. Pints will be delivered via Tennent’s special ‘draught-to-your-door’ vehicle, making this the only way to get a brewery fresh pint in Scotland, until pubs are able to open their doors.
Fans on Tennent’s Lager’s Facebook page can nominate by sharing their dad’s, or that special man in their lives’, best ‘dad joke’ from Tuesday 16 June.
Commenting, Tennent’s Lager Brand Executive, Linzi Gibson, said: “Father’s Day is normally a great way to share a pint with the person you go to for DIY tips, lifts and jokes that aren’t always as funny as he thinks they are. As we look ahead to Scotland’s pubs, clubs, hotels and restaurants being able to reopen, we’ve started filling kegs again at Wellpark, so Father’s Day is the perfect time for us to reward dads with that freshly brewed pint at home.
“I’m sure there will be many deserving dads across Scotland, and we look forward to helping some Tennent’s fans share a fresh pint with theirs this Sunday. The entries will surely keep us and our fans entertained.”
Winners will be notified and contacted by Friday 19 June. The fresh pints will be delivered on Father’s Day itself, Sunday 21 June while the beer garden experience will be delivered later in the summer when it is safe to do so in line with government guidance.
