In celebration of DoubleTree by Hilton launching its iconic Chocolate Chip Cookie into space later this year and to mark the release of the Cookie Cookbook 3.0, DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh City Centre and Glasgow Central have announced they will be hosting exclusive three-course Cookie meals.
Available between 30th September-3rd October 6-8pm, guests will be able to enjoy a three-course Cookie meal, with the chocolatey (and gooey!) menu including Slow Cooked Chilli Beef Croquettes, Crusted Wok Fried Shrimp, Duck Breast and Chevre Salad and Apple and Irish Cream Crumble.
The launch of Cookie Cookbook 3.0 coincides with the announcement that DoubleTree by Hilton will be taking its iconic warm welcome to new heights when its Chocolate Chip Cookie is launched in a rocket bound for the International Space Station (ISS). The cookie will then become the first food baked in space inside a prototype oven designed to make long-duration space flight more hospitable.
Shawn McAteer, Senior Vice President and Global Head of DoubleTree by Hilton said: “The DoubleTree Cookie is a favorite for our guests in the UK, and around the world and we are incredibly excited to serve our limited-edition Cookie meals to celebrate the landmark experiment aboard the International Space Station.”
“Hilton has long been an industry innovator, and as we celebrate our 100th year, we’re excited to send our hospitality into orbit with not just our plans to bake the first ever food in space, but also bring our guests and customers a three-course dinner that is truly out-of-this-world!”
The Cookie Dinners will be available from 30th September – 3rd October 6-8pm.
To book your spot to enjoy the Cookie inspired three-course dinner, head to DoubleTreebyHiltonCookieDinners@Grayling.com – spaces are limited!
Cookies in Space is a landmark microgravity experiment. Working in partnership with Zero G Kitchen, which creates appliances for use in long-duration space flights, and NanoRacks, a leading provider of commercial access to space, Hilton will be the first hospitality company to participate in research aboard the space station.
Ahead of its programme launch on 2 July, EIFF venues will include Filmhouse, Cameo Cinema, Vue Omni and a new pop-up screen at National Galleries Scotland: National.
