Floral phone box disruption on Castle Street to herald the first variant from the Cabinet of Curiosities at the Hendrick’s Gin Palace
In a world where we’re constantly connected and voyeurism is the norm, Hendrick’s Gin has ethereally transformed one of modern day’s first conduits of connection, the forgotten phone box, to launch their new deeply floral Midsummer Solstice Gin. Obliterated by flowers, the sensorial phone box portal – one of just five in the country - will reward the curious who raise their gaze – transporting present and inquisitive minds to simpler, less-connected times - away from their hundreds and thousands of ‘pocket connections’.
The enchanting gateway on Castle Street until Saturday 30th March provides physical and mental space in which to stop, literally smell the roses and consider those true, meaningful connections. Indeed, Hendrick’s Midsummer Solstice Gin was first created by Master Distiller Lesley Gracie as an ambrosial wedding gift to celebrate such a true, meaningful connection and union.
This one of a kind experience, like the gin, is but fleeting – limited by nature – but glorious while it lasts… whisking the curious to a heady world where flowers are at their most potent, love at its most powerful, and possibilities at their most infinite.
The distinctive botanical bouquet of Hendrick’s Gin has been complemented with a secretive, seductive selection of additional floral essences inspired by the mysterious and ephemeral delights of Midsummer Solstice blooms. The result is an enchantingly floral gin that blossoms on the palate in a rare union of lightness and complexity – unmistakably Hendrick’s Gin, but with an alluring floral pop!
Open to the public from 12pm– 7pm on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th March. First come, first served. Admittance cannot be guaranteed.
For those curious to try, Hendrick’s Midsummer Solstice Gin is now available at Waitrose (RRP £35) and all good retailers & bars throughout the summer.
