With their latest innovation, event organisers can select a charity to which Citizen Ticket will donate 50% of their booking fee from each ticket sold. Discover more about Citizen Ticket’s platform, and booking fees for a brighter future at www.citizenticket.co.uk/organiser-signup/forcharity/
Independent arts festival Hidden Door will be the first Scottish organisation to utilise the feature, having recently chosen Citizen Ticket as their primary ticketing provider. Hidden Door 2019 will take place from 30th May until 2nd June at Leith Theatre, Edinburgh. The festival’s full line-up will be announced soon with tickets available via Citizen Ticket.
Their move to the platform will contribute to Citizen Ticket’s target of raising and donating £100,000 to charity by the end of 2020, and follows their first major donation of £1,900 to mental health charity PIPS, in conjunction with NI Science Festival.
“Our decision to incorporate charitable donations into our booking fees has been a no brainer for us,” said Citizen Ticket's co-founder Phil Shaw-Stewart. “As individuals, all of our team members have a strong social conscious, and this is reflected throughout our company and objectives.”
Having established themselves across Scotland, the company are now rapidly expanding throughout the UK, providing event organisers large and small with the ability to simply and securely manage their ticketing. Citizen Ticket’s platform is built on bespoke blockchain technology, initially developed to eradicate ticket touts and fraud, and provides a range of benefits to both organisers and customers on top of its charity support. Event organisers can take advantage of the simple event creation and management features including sales reports and tracking, automated refunds, and ticket scanning app. While customers benefit from knowing their tickets are authentic and secure, have the ability to transfer to friends, and can hold all their valid tickets in one digital wallet.
