Radio Forth has announced details of One Night Stand, an evening of comedy hosted by Forth 1’s Micky Gavin featuring some of the best names in the business.
The event on Thursday 24th May at the Alhambra Theatre in Dunfermline sees a flurry of Edinburgh Fringe Festival favourites including Stephen K Amos, Patrick Monahan, Janey Godley and Mark Nelson as well as Andrew Maxwell, the infamous voice of MTV’s hit show Ex on the Beach.
This latest event from Radio Forth taps into the huge success of its Fringe event Forth On The Fringe and also the station’s strong track record for delivering top class sold out events such as Boogie on the Boat, the Forth Awards and Forth 1 Entertains.
Stephen K Amos is sure to have the audience in stitches with his crowd participation and honest and original material while Patrick Monahan and Andrew Maxwell are expected to bring lots of political and topical sketches to the evening with their hilarious and energetic performances. Award-winning comedians Mark Nelson and Janey Godley complete the list of first rate stand-ups taking to the stage.
Ahead of the big night, Stephen said: “I’m really looking forward to performing at Radio Forth’s One Night Stand. The Scottish crowds are great fun and never fail to disappoint. It is sure to be an evening filled with lots of laughs!”
Forth 1’s drive time presenter Micky Gavin said: “Radio Forth’s One Night Stand will be the perfect event to celebrate comedy in the East out with the buzz of the Fringe Festival. We are really excited to welcome so many great names to the stage!
Tickets for One Night Stand are £20 (plus booking fee) and are on sale now. They can be purchased online from forth1.com, via Ticketmaster or from the venue box office.
