Airsorted, the fastest growing Airbnb management company in the world, is supporting Home by encouraging its Edinburgh guests to visit the not-for-profit restaurant during their stay.
Offering property-management to make the lives of those renting their homes easier, Airsorted is the world’s largest company of its kind in the field. The company looks after over 20,000 guests in the Capital each year, and will be encouraging them to dine in the socially-conscious restaurant during their stay.
Nick Hodgson, Edinburgh City Manager at Airsorted, said: “Our guests are always looking for the very best local experiences, and we’re thrilled to promote Home during their visit in the knowledge that they’re supporting both the local economy and homeless community through Home’s ‘Pay it Forward’ scheme.
“Airsorted’s mission to deliver a 5* service to all of our guests visiting the Capital is epitomised by the brilliant work Home does for some of society’s most disadvantaged people. There will be dining offers available to our Airsorted guests, and we hope they take advantage of the unique dining experience.”
Home, which opened in September 2016, is the brainchild of social entrepreneur Josh Littlejohn (best known for setting up the Social Bite chain of sandwich shops) and seasoned restauranteur Dean Gassabi of the well-known group of Maison Bleue restaurants.
The restaurant runs on a not-for-profit basis with all profits going to charity. Alongside a core professional staff, Home provides training and employment programmes for members of the Social Bite Academy, the organisation’s four year, paid course for homeless people. Diners at Home are also encouraged to ‘Pay Forward’ meals for the homeless, and each Monday afternoon the restaurant runs a special service for the homeless.
Josh Littlejohn, founder of Social Bite said: “Home is a natural evolution of what we’ve been doing at Social Bite, and I’m glad that people are supporting the restaurant in the same way. It’s a place where you can get a first-rate meal at the same time as helping some of the most vulnerable people in society, and I really appreciate Airsorted supporting our mission to help the homeless.”
Airsorted currently has over 1500 properties under management, and operates on popular platforms such as Airbnb, Booking.com and HomeAway.com.
With operations in London, Edinburgh, Dublin and Sydney, Airsorted enables otherwise empty properties to be filled with visitors to explore and discover each of the vibrant cities.
