Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to enhance your skills, Hitomi Kobayashi-Prior is here to help! With years of experience and a passion for teaching, she makes learning Japanese enjoyable, engaging, and achievable for everyone.
Hitomi is one of Scotland's most experienced Japanese language educators. She has worked as a senior lecturer at Kanda University of International Studies in Japan and has authored 17 textbooks on Japanese language teaching and teacher training. She holds a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics, a Japanese Language Teaching Competency Certificate, and has received a prestigious Teaching Award.
Her lessons are tailored to meet your individual goals, whether you wish to learn for travel, work, exams, or simply for the love of the language. With a structured yet relaxed approach, she helps students build confidence and fluency at their own pace.
Now based in Edinburgh, Hitomi is the founder of the Japanese Clubs, a friendly and welcoming space designed for learners to enhance their language skills in enjoyable and meaningful contexts.
