As well as our social enterprise market garden, we have a community garden & orchard, and community allotments.
You can come to the Community Garden to learn grow-your-own skills, and help look after the fruit and veg we grow for free.
We have weekly drop-in gardening sessions throughout the year on Tuesdays and Thursdays (check our website for seasonal time changes). These are relaxed, friendly sessions and a great opportunity to get your hands in the soil, learn new skills - or bring and share your skills with neighbours - and find a new community of folk (and birds, butterflies, bees, worms...).
We also run an 'Introduction to Growing Your Own Food' course for beginners every year in May-June (sliding scale ticket price), plus lots of free workshops and community events.
You will find people of a mix of ages, genders, backgrounds and ethnicities in the Community Allotments and Garden. Most live in the neighbourhoods nearby. There's always at least two members of the Lauriston Farm team at the volunteering sessions to co-ordinate the activities and support you to get involved.
You can also get involved across the farm - check our website for details and sign up to our newsletter to get all upcoming events and opportunities by email.
