Our style is well suited for all ages and genders. We have several active members aged over 40 and a third of our current members are female.

We also run a kids club - ideal for building your child's confidence, coordination and self-esteem. Our instructors are first-aid trained and PVGS cleared.

We train two times a week – all sessions are at Walpole Hall, 27 Chester St, in the West End of Edinburgh. Check the ‘Joining In’ section for details of introductory sessions.

Training runs:
Wednesdays 7-9pm (Ages 18+)
Sunday 1:30 – 3pm (Youth Club, suitable for ages 10-16 years)
Sunday 3-5pm (Ages 16+)

Ju Jitsu originated around 1600 AD in Japan and is the parent art from which judo, Brazilian ju-jitsu and aikido derive. The principle is to use the force of an attack against an assailant through application of throws, locks and strikes. It is taught and used by both the Japanese police force and British military. When done correctly, techniques don't require strength. The force of your response can be 'dialled up' or 'dialled down' to match the intent of an attacker.

Introductory sessions are a lot of fun and very popular, you don't have to do anything you don't want to try. If you'd like to find out more then you can check out our web page or contact us by email.
