Due to COVID-19 Edinburgh Art Festival launch a series of artist responses to mark the intended dates of their 2020 edition.
With work appearing on poster sites and flagpoles across the city, as well as special video screenings and live performances online, 10 artists working in Scotland, UK and internationally, have contributed to this special August offering.
Founded in 2004, Edinburgh Art Festival is the UK's largest annual festival of visual art, with the vast majority of the festival is free to attend!
We bring together the capital’s leading galleries, museums and artist-run spaces, alongside new public art commissions by established and emerging artists and an innovative programme of special events. Our programme is unique in combining ambitious presentations of contemporary art alongside major solo and survey shows of artists from the 20th century and historic movements. Our commissions programme champions new work by Scottish and international artists.
