No matter which concert you choose, from orchestral to the more intimate recital, the sound in the Grand Hall will be breathtaking. The traditional shoebox style auditorium is renowned throughout the world for having some of the finest acoustics.
The elegant and spectacular Hall provides the focus for Glasgow's Centre for Music. Dating from as far back as 1841, it is the city's oldest, but most well loved, purpose built performance and meeting space.
This exciting music complex also houses top class rehearsal, recording, broadcasting and webcasting facilities. As a hub of creativity, a jam-packed programme of public workshops and classes has already benefited everyone from babies, toddlers and school groups to amateur and professional musicians.
Vaughan Williams's captivating The Lark Ascending is one of the country's most cherished pieces, and violinist and conductor Andrew Manze is an authority on the composer's music.
