The country’s only Scotch malt whisky cream liqueur brand, Magnum, is throwing its support behind Edinburgh's Team GB men’s curling team at this year’s Winter Olympics with a series of five new limited edition commemorative bottles.
The Winter Olympics 2026 kicks off in Italy on 6th February, featuring 3,000 athletes from around 90 nations competing across 7 sports and 15 venues.
To mark the world-class sporting occasion, Magnum has released five special bottle designs dedicated to each of the nation’s curling stars, who are known collectively as ‘Team Mouat’. The team of four men from Scotland are the current men’s World Curling Champions and previously took home the silver medal at the 2022 Olympics in Beijing.
Team skipper, Bruce Mouat, and his teammates Hammy McMillan, Grant Hardie and Bobby Lammie have now been immortalised with the face of each player wrapped around their very own bottle of Magnum. A celebratory bottle featuring the full Team Mouat group together is also available.
The curling stars have also signed a new sponsorship deal with Magnum for 2026. As Magnum’s official brand ambassadors, Team Mouat is helping to represent and boost the brand on the world stage, including this year’s Winter Olympics.
Team Mouat Skipper, Bruce Mouat, was born and bred in Edinburgh. Commenting on Magnum’s new limited edition Team GB men’s curling team bottles, Bruce said: “It’s a real honour to have ongoing support from Magnum as we prepare to head off to Italy and compete for Great Britain.
“We think the limited edition Team GB bottles look fantastic and have given us such a boost as we complete our final training.
“As well as promoting Magnum to around 90 nations at the Winter Olympics, we’ll be helping to raise the profile of curling and encouraging people to give it a go for themselves.”
Edinburgh-based Hemisphere Brands is the global brand agent for Magnum and manages the brand from production planning through to the strategy for market entry, as well as executing the sales, marketing and global distribution plan.
Lee Schofield, Director for Magnum, said: “We’re so proud to be supporting the Team GB men’s curling team at this year’s Winter Olympics in Italy and cheering them on with their very own limited edition bottle of Magnum.
“They’re an amazing group of guys, who really embody the spirit of our nation. We think they’re the perfect ambassadors to represent the Magnum brand and curling on the world stage.
“People can now show their own support for Team Mouat by snapping up one of our 600 commemorative bottles online, while stocks last.”
Magnum is now the only scotch malt whisky cream liqueur brand exclusively crafted and bottled at a global production centre in Scotland.
Magnum is a fusion of single malt Scotch whisky and cream. Smooth, creamy caramel notes play off single malt Speyside whisky for a balanced taste with a warming ginger afterglow. Its superior ingredients and contemporary design set it apart from traditional liqueurs.
Magnum is also an industry pioneer when it comes to its packaging. It’s contained in a unique, stainless steel flask, which is designed to be reusable and recyclable. It also keeps the liqueur chilled at the optimum temperature, without the need for ice.
Magnum’s limited edition Team GB men’s curling team bottles are now available to buy online from Royal Mile Whiskies priced at £20 per 50cl bottle at www.royalmilewhiskies.com
Free UK mainland delivery is included with each purchase.
