Scotland on Tour returns to Reconnect Regal Theatre with two shows this August
As part of Scotland on Tour Savourna Stevenson and Steve Kettley will perform at Reconnect Regal Theatre, Bathgate on 13th August and indie-rock-pop sensation Honeyblood on 20th August.

As part of Scotland on Tour, the exciting initiative to support the recovery of our live music industry, virtuoso clarsachist and harpist Savourna Stevenson and noted saxophonist Steve Kettley will perform at Reconnect Regal Theatre, Bathgate on Saturday 13th August. The following weekend will welcome acclaimed indie-rock-pop sensation Honeyblood to the Reconnect Regal stage on Saturday 20th August.
Savourna Stevenson and Steve Kettley have known each other for more than 20 years and have enjoyed a successful and creative reunion since 2017, performing at festivals and concerts throughout the UK.
The pair will perform a dynamic blend of haunting melodies, pulsating rhythms and stirring improvisations – breaking stylistic barriers while maintaining Scottish roots. Daring and accessible, their music will have audiences on the edge of their seats.
Savourna Stevenson said: “Steve and I are really looking forward to performing some of our new material in Bathgate this summer. It’s been great fun working on our duo album together and we can’t wait to put it out into the world.”
Steve Kettley said: “We’ve been working as a duo for nearly five years now and love to get on the stage and perform together. Scotland on Tour is a really brilliant initiative to reconnect with music lovers, so we’re delighted to be able to perform in Bathgate’s Reconnect Regal Theatre this August.”
Honeybloodis the stage name of singer/songwriter Stina Tweeddale who, backed by her live band, has shot to global fame over the past few years. Having shared stages with acts such as The FooFighters and Wolf Alice, she has also sold out headline tours across the UK, US, Europe, Australia and Asia.
Tweeddale is known for her anthemic, life-affirming tracks which break down genre boundaries and cover a range of topics, including female empowerment, self-worth and friendship. She has produced three albums to date, each of which have been nominated for the Scottish Album of the Year (SAY) award.
Stina Tweeddale of Honeyblood said: “Being able to bring Honeyblood to many incredible Scottish venues is a real honour. Each of these places is uniquely steeped in local history and all individually have an incredible cultural impact on their communities. As a Scottish artist, the opportunity to perform in these places means so much and I am delighted to be part of this initiative.
“The impact of the pandemic is still felt through the touring community - artists and venues alike. The work Scotland On Tour is doing to support full time artists and venues is vital to support the music community.
“I’m so grateful to bring my band together for this tour and start performing as Honeyblood again. It will be our first tour since 2019 so it will mark a moment for celebration, and certainly be a ruckus!”
Scotland on Tour will take place over a period of 12 months between April 2022 and March 2023. The remaining confirmed concerts taking place at Reconnect Regal Theatre include Pictish Trail on Wednesday 21st September, Firelight Trio on Thursday 22nd September and Dallahan on Wednesday 12th October.

Scotland on Tour supports the creation of hundreds of concerts and performances at much-loved arts centres, town halls and community venues across Scotland. More than 120 artists are set to perform at more than 100 venues across the country as part of the initiative.
The project, which has been created and managed by Active Events, was made possible by £750,000 of Scottish Government backing and will focus on increasing the number of opportunities to showcase and enjoy live music while bringing exciting acts to the doorstep of cities, towns, villages and rural communities.
The year-long Scotland on Tour bill includes both emerging and established artists with genre-spanning acts appearing across the breadth and width of the country, with rock, pop, jazz, classical, folk, trad and acoustic genres all being showcased.
