Magic and the paranormal have long had a bizarre relationship. From fraudulent mediums using magic to scam their clients, to magicians making a career out of debunking, to stage performers presenting Seances as purely entertainment.
This talk will look at how the paranormal and magic have influenced each other, how magicians have borrowed from ghosts, and how mediums have influenced some of magics biggest names.
Ash Pryce is a Bizarre magician, specialising in Seance and paranormal themed stage magic. He is the co-founder of the Edinburgh Horror Festival which celebrates it's tenth anniversary in 2026.
