About Hansel and Gretel - Easter Panto
“This year Reconnect Theatres return with their newest Easter Panto “Hansel and Gretel” written by Sam Stuart Fraser.
Hansel and Gretel are both siblings and best pals. They live a normal life until one day they get lost deep in the woods, but these aren’t just any woods, this is the Gumdrop Forest, home to the dreaded Candy Hag. With Dame Esther Bunny and Bobbie the Bunny as your narrators we guide you through their story but this time with a twist…Bobbie the Bunny has moved some pages around and mixed many fairytale stories together.
With fairytale characters such as Little Red Riding Hood, Rumplestiltskin and Goldilocks wandering around, this story gets a lot more dangerous for our siblings.
They just need to defeat the Candy Hag, The Big Bad Wolf and any other terrible baddies that roam the woods, get everyone back to their own story and live happily ever after…I mean, how hard can that be?
