Are We Alone? What Faith Says About Extraterrestrials

About Are We Alone? What Faith Says About Extraterrestrials

The discovery of extraterrestrial intelligence would raise significant questions for people's faith.

Would it challenge core religious beliefs such as human uniqueness or the idea that humans are made in the image of God? Could non-human beings be spiritually gifted, morally superior or closer to God than us?

Join Dr Shoaib Ahmed Malik, Lecturer in Science and Religion at The University of Edinburgh, in a lively and interactive event that explores how Islam and Christianity engage these tensions. Expect debate, big questions, and active audience participation – curiosity is strongly encouraged.
