Peatbogs are a fascinating, unusual ecosystem which store twice as much carbon as all forests globally.
Get your hands dirty with University of Edinburgh scientists researching these weird, wonderful and vital ecosystems. Discover why UNESCO has designated the world’s largest area of blanket peatland bog, Scotland’s Flow Country, a World Heritage Site alongside the Great Barrier Reef and the Grand Canyon. And what do enzymes and magnets have to do with peaty bogs? Come along and find out!
