Ever wanted to throw a bit of Gaeilge into your day – whether it’s to connect with your Irish roots, to impress your friends & family, or just learn something new for the craic? Following the success of our first Irish language class on Heritage Day, we’re back with another relaxed, welcoming session at Malones Leith hosted by Edinburgh Comhaltas.
Each session is around 45-minutes. No experience is needed, and each class is different so you can come to as many as you like. Tickets must be booked in advance.
BEGINNER-FRIENDLY IRISH CLASSES
Whether you’ve never spoken a word of Gaeilge before, or you’re fluent and just want a top-up session, these are the perfect sessions for you.
Each session will focus on different topics and phrases, while still being perfectly beginner-friendly. You can therefore come to every session and still pick up the language, or join classes sporadically as you’re able to.
PAY WHAT YOU CAN
Tickets must be booked in advance, and we encourage you to pay what you can on the day to our amazing host. All payments will go directly to the host.
ABOUT OUR HOSTS
Edinburgh Comhaltas is an inclusive community working to promote Irish traditional music, song and dance as well as the Irish language in Edinburgh. They are open to all ages, backgrounds and abilities.
LUNCH AND DRINKS AFTERWARDS
You are more than welcome to stick around once the class ends for a bite to eat or a few drinks with your friends. We recommend booking a table to avoid missing out, or let a member of our team know and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
