About Role Initiative: Create Your Own Character

Join Sacha Coward, LGBTQ+ historian and game designer, for this interactive workshop for young people looking at the history of identity and representation in gaming.

Create your own characters inspired by the history of queer video games.

This event is for young people aged 13 to 16 years. Guardians are welcome to attend.

Sacha Coward is a historian, public speaker, tour guide and author of 'Queer as Folklore: The Hidden Queer History of Myths and Monsters'. He is passionate about queer history, mythology, folklore and storytelling in all their many forms. He has designed various interactive games and escape rooms for cultural organisations.
