Through interviews with economists, policymakers, and journalists, the film explores Modern Monetary Theory and challenges the idea that public spending works like household budgeting. It looks at where money really comes from, what limits government spending, and how these assumptions shape decisions on healthcare, climate action, jobs, and public services.
The film is accessible, provocative, and designed for anyone who wants to better understand how the economic rules we take for granted came to be, and whether they still make sense.
A conversation about the film will take place as part of the free to attend PINTONOMICS event taking place after the film.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
