Maltese born Edinburgh based Pianist, Producer and Composer Simon Mercieca is the leader of the Simon Mercieca group which is a jazz band that is heavily influenced and inspired by Celtic traditional music. Some of his recent performances include the Malta Jazz Festival, and the St Michael’s Church Concert Series in Edinburgh. He is also part of the Scottish National Youth Jazz Orchestra where he was invited to play a duet in the Queens Hall with leading saxophonist Tommy Smith.
