When Detective Carmady wakes up tied to a chair in his own office, it seems like just another day on the job.
That is, until a client appears with a case. The only problem is he already solved it. And why are there so many other detectives hiding in his office?
A comedy for fans of the absurd, mystery stories and noir films in the Raymond Chandler tradition, this is a special, one-off script-in-hand performance by the Edinburgh Rep Company of a script that placed in the top 10% of the BBC's script callout in 2025, by 3 time international award nominated writer Oliver Giggins (Bruntwood Longlist 2019, Through The Mill Shortlist 2021, Ilfeld Short list 2026 (winner TBA), produced by the makers of two-fringe sellout Regina Vagina (***** "Shakespeare would’ve loved this shit", All Edinburgh Theatre 2024, **** "ludicrously funny", All Edinburgh Theatre 2025, ***** "Comedic, conscientiously crafted and deliciously camp", Musical Theatre Review 2025) and EHF sellout Frankomime's Monster (****, "filled with laughter, fun and craziness from beginning to end", The Indiependent, 2020), and The Lady In White (****, "a delightful narrative filled with charmingly weird characters", Shiny Life, 2025).
