Join us in some gentle guided movement, meditation and reflection where we will (re)connect with ourselves and with nature as we go into winter.
The winter season can feel frantic. Too bright, too busy, too loud.
Take a morning with us to explore a different perspective - winter as a time of growth.
Growth happening in the dark. Winter as a time of stillness, gentleness and rest. A time to find your centre again. A time for home. A time for grounding.
Take time to give yourself permission to dream new things into being and to put energy into yourself.
Inspired by Mary Oliver's lines "Every year we have been witness to it: how the world descends into a rich mash, in order that it may resume", facilitators Emily and Laura will lead you through gentle movement, a short meditation, a guided labyrinth walk in the grounds of the cathedral and a reflection.
You will leave feeling grounded, nourished and that you can come home to what is important to you in the coming months.
Practicalities
We will start in Walpole Hall, at the Cathedral.
The venue is St Mary's Episcopal Cathedral (there are 2 St Mary's in Edinburgh, please come to the right one for our event!)
We will provide warming tea and biscuits.
You will need to bring:
Warm, waterproof clothes and shoes (dress for the weather, as we will be walking the labyrinth in the garden).
Journal or paper and a pen.
A yoga mat, cushion you feel comfortable sitting on (there are chairs at the venue).

About us
Hello
Laura is a transformative coach and facilitator. Emily is a celebrant and labyrinth facilitator. We collaborate on ideas which inspire us.
About Laura
Hi, I'm Laura. I’m a qualified and experienced coach and facilitator. As an Animas accredited Transformative Coach, I can give you a space that feels calm. Space to take a breath. Space to think. I will resource you to challenge old thinking, explore new perspectives and commit to change. As a facilitator, I work with your team to deepen your connection with your purpose and with one another, leading to more effective team work. I can help you to better understand one another’s styles and preferences, discover what connects you as people and have much more authentic conversations with confidence and integrity.
About Emily
Hello! My name is Emily (she/her) and I am a celebrant in the greater Edinburgh area, Scotland. Meeting new people, hearing their stories, and finding ways to bring heartfelt magic into their rite of passage truly brings me joy. In my work as a celebrant, I use the listening, writing, and presenting skills I have honed throughout my career as an anthropologist, and combine them with my significant experience of writing, leading, and holding sacred space for group ceremony in my own Earth-based spiritual tradition.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
