Choral Beats

About Choral Beats

Join us for an exhilarating evening of powerful harmonies and vibrant rhythms with Choral Beats, a concert bringing together the rich textures of choral music with the dynamic pulse of a live percussion ensemble.

The first half of the concert features the UK premiere of the dramatic and stirring 'Adventus Domini nostri Jesu Christi' by acclaimed Slovenian composer Damijan Močnik, a work full of rhythmic intensity. The second half opens with Gorecki's magnificent 'Totus Tuus', composed to celebrate Pope John Paul II's pilgrimage to Poland in 1987. The lush, atmospheric settings of Dan Forrest’s evocative 'Three Nocturnes' closes the concert, drawing the listener into a world of twilight introspection.

Soprano Emily Kemp joins as soloist, adding a stunning focal point to the performance.

This concert promises to be a highlight for lovers of innovative, genre-blending music.
