Orla Stevens will be presenting a new exhibition of contemporary landscape paintings at Lobby 37 at Gleneagles Townhouse. The exhibition runs from Thursday 2nd October to Wednesday 29th October, open daily from 9am–7pm.
Orla Stevens is a Scottish artist working across painting and illustration, exploring themes of curiosity, awe and wonder in the everyday. Orla’s work is inspired by how places and moments feel: From coastlines, lochs and mountain tops to city streets, cafés, and time with friends. Rooted in the natural world and our connections with nature, Orla is drawn to capture the beauty of everyday adventures. The paintings are informed by Orla's sketchbooks, on-location paintings and studio practice as a way to notice more, to slow down, and to stay open to wherever inspiration appears.
'The Joy of Noticing’ is a celebration of the beautiful moments that make up life, from the wild landscapes of Scotland and Ireland to the colour and energy of cities, and the everyday joys in-between. It’s about slowing down, paying attention, and finding wonder in the small details all around us, wherever we are.
