Discover a wealth of dragons from around the world in this fun family workshop.

Enjoy dragon stories and get creative with author Theresa Breslin and illustrator Kate Leiper.

We'll begin with some dragon stories read by Theresa from 'An Illustrated Treasury of Dragon Tales', to get our imaginations firing. Kate will then share some of her hot tips on dragon drawing. You can then have fun creating your very own one. Whether your dragon is a ferocious, fire-breathing beast or a masterfully mischievous monster, ignite your imagination and get ready to roar!

All materials will be provided.

This session is suitable for families with children aged 6 and over. All children must be accompanied during the event.

About the workshop leaders:
Kate Leiper is a fine artist and illustrator based in Edinburgh. She studied at Gray's School of Art and has been longlisted for the Kate Greenaway Award.

Theresa Breslin O.B.E is a popular, critically acclaimed author of books for children and young adults. Her work has been adapted for television, stage, and radio, and is translated worldwide.

Kate Leiper and Theresa Breslin created 'An Illustrated Treasury of Scottish Folk and Fairy Tales', 'An Illustrated Treasury of Scottish Mythical Creatures' and 'An Illustrated Treasury of Scottish Castle Legends' together.

Kate is also the illustrator of 'The Book of the Howlat' and 'A Wee Bird Was Watching'.

Theresa's historical books for children include 'Mary Queen of Scots: Escape from the Castle', and 'Illustrated Legends of Scotland's Kings and Queens'.
