Edinburgh Science Festival: Tiny Archives of Earth and Time

About Edinburgh Science Festival: Tiny Archives of Earth and Time

Check out the microscopic marine life that is crucial for the whole Earth.

We usually look across the ocean but not into it, where tons of tiny organisms live, leaving a vital footprint on our climate and records of climate history.

This exhibition, presented by researchers from Heriot-Watt University, highlights the importance of these microorganisms as tiny authors and record keepers. They save information about climate change over time, teach us about the Earth we inhabit and what this means for the future.

Presented by Dynamic Earth and Heriot-Watt University
