Scotland’s premier smallholding festival is back and bigger and better than ever before!
Join us on 17 October 2026 at the Royal Highland Centre for a rebranded, expanded celebration of rural life.
Experience the feel of a "national local show" across three massive halls. Whether you are a smallholder, a farmer, or looking for a fun family Saturday, there is something for everyone:
• Livestock & Showcases: Home to Scotland’s only pig competition, plus sheep, goats, alpacas, poultry, rabbits, cattle, and equine displays.
• The Lowland Hall: Our new hub for rural skills, "have a go" workshops, and a dedicated children’s countryside area.
• Scottish Food Guide Cookery Theatre: Featuring live demonstrations with Wendy Barrie.
• Rural Traditions: Explore the heritage of Scotland through rare breeds, handcrafts, and our small producer market.
Supported by the Scottish Government, we continue to provide 14 years of inspiration and education for the agricultural community.
Early bird pricing and schedules available at www.festival.scot starting in March.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
