Digital Innovation in Art Exhibitions – Online Talk
From digital art forms to virtual exhibitions during the pandemic - technology plays an essential role in the art world today. This talk is an opportunity to learn more about how exhibition creators use digital and multimedia technologies to enrich displays and to explore how they can enhance our encounters with art. The talk will also address accessibility issues in relation to the world’s most renown pieces of art, which cannot travel or cannot be travelled to. With Jelena Jovanovic of Magister Art, a digital social innovation company who created the current exhibition Raphael Magister Raffaello.
Jelena Jovanovic is an art historian specialized in Medieval and Byzantine Art. She holds an MA in Byzantine Art History and a PhD in Medieval Art History from La Sapienza University of Rome with a trans-disciplinary thesis on royal architectural patronage in the 12th century Balkans. Jelena is a digital humanities specialist and holds extensive experience in the management of the cultural heritage sector and museums, based on digital media productions and fundraising activities.
