Mind Be Kind Wellbeing Festival

About Mind Be Kind Wellbeing Festival

MIND BE KIND is a new social enterprise focussing on being kind to yourself and others. It is set up primarily to serve the local community by developing and delivering free entry events, and signposting information about physical and mental health services.

The first event is taking place at The Ross Bandstand, conveniently located in the heart of Edinburgh, as well outdoors, offering that extra space to participate, browse, and connect. By bringing together professionals, practitioners, and organisations with a capacity to signpost to different services, we aim to offer people of all ages and backgrounds a platform to connect, engage and find out more about potential wellbeing and mental health help available. As well, as various speakers will be attending the event, it will serve as a thoughtful, encouraging, and inspiring force for little and big change.

Location: Ross Bandstand, West Gardens Cottage, Princes St, Edinburgh EH2 2HG

By having visual representation of, for instance, mindful breathing, yoga, reiki and Zumba (among others), there will be an opportunity to connect with people and perhaps discover new ways that can positively impact on people’s mental and physical health journey. Additionally, we are looking to signpost for career advice as well as volunteering opportunities. This event aspires to motivate people through a set of activities – be it arts, music, dance, or performances and speeches – to find more enjoyment and different ways of coping.

MIND BE KIND will be focusing on community engagement and bringing about change in how people see and feel about their wellbeing needs. With an aspiration to be kind to both ourselves and others, we would like to gently remind people about the importance of taking care of oneself, whilst also looking out and being kind to fellow humans.

MIND BE KIND has been created to serve the local community by providing free entry events that aim to support people on their wellbeing and mental health journey.

Our first ever event, the Wellbeing Festival will:

Bring together professionals, practitioners, and organisations with a capacity to signpost to different wellbeing and mental health services.

Offer people of all ages and backgrounds a platform to connect, engage and find information about different services available that could support their needs

Aspire to motivate people through a set of activities - including arts, music, and dance, as well as performances and speeches - to find more enjoyment and different ways of coping.

Create volunteering opportunities including training and development.
