In partnership with the Franco-Scottish Society (Edinburgh branch), the Institut Français d'Ecosse is delighted to welcome Kristiina Watt (renaissance lute) and Héloïse Bernard (soprano) from Ensemble Cordes en Ciel for a concert at the institute.
The programme features airs de cour and solo lute music from 17th century France.
Rarely heard songs by Antoine Boësset and more familiar works by Étienne Moulinié alongside lute interludes by Robert Ballard II create a programme populated by magical beings, mythical figures, lovers and merrymakers!
