On Tour - direct from Florida, USA, and after two years of postponement due to the pandemic, the fabulous Voices of Naples, present a programme of choral works to suit all tastes - from traditional African American spirituals to folk songs, and Americana.
The choir was formed in 2002 to provide an opportunity for singers in SW Florida to study and perform a variety of choral music. Members are selected by referral and audition and rehearse/perform from mid-October through early April. As part of their charter, the choir provides scholarships to qualified applicants who are pursuing vocal music in college. The performance today is part of a concert tour to Scotland and England.

Douglas Renfroe, Artistic Director is an internationally acclaimed bass- baritone who made his Lincoln Center debut in Schumann’s Paradise and Peri and his Carnegie Hall debut in Orff’s Carmina Burana. He has specialized in oratorio and has performed with various orchestras throughout the world in compositions such as Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, Brahms’ Requiem, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Haydn’s Creation and his Lord Nelson Mass. Conductors with whom he has sung include Leopold Stokowski, Leonard Bernstein, Paul Nadler and Loren Maezel.
