Greenham Common Women’s Peace Camp is unknown to many activists today. Greenham Women Everywhere is now putting this radical herstory back on the agenda.
Jill and Vanessa will recall early actions to pull down the 9 mile fence, life at camp and how it took 16 years to reclaim the common. The talk will include video, newspaper clips, photos and songs and how women recreated the original walk from Cardiff to Greenham to mark the 40th anniversary, with two days of celebrations on the common which is now a beautiful wildlife space enjoyed by all. And a thank you from the current Mayor of Newbury!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
