Recycling involves breaking down a waste product into it’s raw materials to form another product. Upcycling on the other hand involves using materials without breaking them down and creating a new product in it’s current state. Inner tubes do not biodegrade and there are very few recycling schemes across the UK so millions end up in landfill every year.
We’ll be upcycling bicycle inner tubes, very simply but effectively, into audacious, bespoke pieces of jewellery! It’s up you whether to make some earrings, a bracelet, a necklace, or even a catwoman mask!
Please bring a pencil and small pair of sharp scissors (we’ll have a few spares in case you forget).
We’ll also provide tea/coffee and biscuits but please bring your own mug.
Venue:
United Reformed Church Hall. 108 Duke St, Leith, EH6 8HL
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
