Get involved with Growth Workshops and release your inner animator.
We offer animation and filmmaking workshops that allow participants to use their creativity to tell their own story.
If you are ages 6-11 and interested in animation, get signed up to our Animation Sensory & Play workshop!
During the five weeks participants will learn how to animate using a wide range of different materials and techniques. It will be packed with animated related fun and learning. From getting messy with clays, creating films with sand and painting with light we will teach you basic animated techniques.
What skills will participants learn?
As well as having lots of messy animated fun, participants will start to build key literacy skills using iPads, cameras and other varied digital software. Important skills in creativity, storytelling and creating movement will be developed as well as soft skills like communication, teamwork and confidence.
What do you need to bring?
We will provide all the equipment, materials, experience and animation know how - you bring the creativity.
Please be advised that this workshop may use physical materials such as plasticine, clay, and sand. We would advise participants wear old clothes.
Growth Workshops are run by professional animators and filmmakers with a lot of experience working with a diverse range of young people of all ages. We are committed in cultivating a safe space to learn and create in and that is why as a studio we ensure all delivery staff are covered by the PVG Disclosure Scotland scheme.
This workshop will run for 5 Saturdays, starting on the 6th of November at 10:00am. The sessions will finish on the 4th of December and each session is 2 hours long.
