This rousing folk rock four-piece hail from the Scottish Highlands (Lochaber, Alness and the Isle of Mull) and Glasgow. Their anthemic singalongs have been warmly received since they formed in 2016; they sold out the Barrowland Ballroom in five minutes and were named the Rising Sound of Scotland at the 2019 Scottish Music Awards.
Far Side of the World was the first single they released, featuring lilting Scottish accents and evocative lyrics about Hebridean breezes and dancing with a Highland girl. That spirit of escapism with a soulful folk sound carried into their debut album, Dreams We Never Lost and last year’s follow up, Eye of the Storm. Live shows are heartfelt and engaging; whether they are opening for an almost 70,000 strong crowd at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium, doing impromptu lockdown concerts in the street, or singing in Gaelic out a tenement window; when frontman Robbie Robertson did just that last year, the video clip went viral.
Location: Edinburgh Park, Lochside Way, Edinburgh, EH12 9GG
