About Free Screening: Just Mercy

Just Mercy (2019)

Hollywood’s rising young star Michael B. Jordan gives a performance of real integrity and moral conviction as Stevenson, a Harvard graduate turned civil rights lawyer, who founds the Equal Justice Initiative along with Eva Ansley (Brie Larson). The EJI sets out to prove that they can push back against the institutionalised inequality experienced by many inmates on death row, putting them at loggerheads with a legal and police system that demonstrates a horrendous level of racial bias.

NOTE: Features an execution scene, racist language and threat.
