Simpson the Bear is my name,
Being the best surgeon is my aim.
I have lots of hobbies for my spare time,
My Favourite is writing poems that rhyme.
Write me a poem and send it in,
There’s a prize for the one that will win.
Did you know April is National Poetry Writing Month?
This month Surgeons’ Hall Museums new education mascot Simpson the Bear is here to help you with your poetry writing skills. He would love to hear some witty poems and revolting rhymes about the human body, medicine or medical history! We will showcase some of the entries on our social media channels!
We will be accepting entries throughout the month of April and there will be a prize up for grabs for the winner. The competition is open to those 12 and under.
To enter please email your entries to museum@rcsed.ac.uk with your name, age and address. If you do not want your work to feature online, please let us know in your email.
Need some inspiration? Simpson the Bear will be popping up on twitter (@surgeonshall) with some fun facts and poems that you could use for inspiration!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
