This talk takes Charles Mackie's work for Patrick Geddes' magazine The Evergreen as the starting point for exploring aspects of that fascinating product of the Celtic revival, and the people connected with it.
Murdo Macdonald has a longstanding interest in Patrick Geddes as a cultural activist. His most recent book, Patrick Geddes' Intellectual Origins is published by Edinburgh University Press.
