The 1920s was a period of contrasts: high spirits and sombre reflection, decadent excess and hard realities. This lecture explores the events, ideas and styles that shaped Scottish art during this fascinating decade, examining the work of artists including S.J. Peploe, Dorothy Johnstone, Eric Robertson and William McCance. Dr Helen Scott is Curator of Fine Art at the City Art Centre.
