Herbal storyteller Amanda Edmiston shares stories of summer meadow plants and their role in the verdant world of the 18th century. Inspired by the work of pioneering Scotswoman Elizabeth Blackwell, creator of' A Curious Herbal', Amanda's work blends folklore, traditional myths and legends, plant uses and history. In her talk, she reveals a new take on Blackwell's incredible book. This event follows on from Amanda's performance at the National Library as part of the Scottish International Storytelling Festival 2019.
